We have arranged this conference to provide an opportunity for in–depth discussions on this important subject and we have decided to open it to others interested besides Green Party members.

On Saturday morning Colin Hines will open our investigations by outlining some of the problems of GLOBALISATION and some possible responses.

On Saturday afternoon the subject will be THIRD WORLD DEBT and we hope that the speakers will be Mike Rowbotham and/or someone from Jubilee 2000, after which we shall divide into workshops for detailed exploration of various aspects of the matters covered so far. This will be followed by reporting back and whatever questions and discussion time allows.

On Sunday morning a panel of speakers will introduce a variety of problems related to Globalisation and Localisation and possible approaches to solving them. Participants will then be able to choose from workshops related to matters covered by each speaker so that they can explore one subject in depth with the help of their chosen speaker.

In the afternoon feedback from the workshops with further comments, questions and discussion will be followed by discussion and comments on the success or otherwise of the conference and possible future plans.
