1:   Editorial: Apologies for late delivery; holidays to blame!

I think you will find articles of interest in this issue; humanity continues on its path to self-destruction, but there are still small but increasing signs of resistance and pressure for a change of direction. The Gaia thesis is very relevant to this, and supports the mounting evidence that, contrary to Darwin, cooperation, not competition, is of prime importance for survival. It calls into question the ethics used to justify the present debt-driven social/economic system and its emphasis on ‘growth’, with the resulting wasteful and unjust distribution of resources.

This goes to support the claim that monetary reform and issue of Citizens’ Incomes are urgently needed, as major steps toward ending the tyranny of debt, which enforces this destructive competition.
